Media Advisory: Launch – I Am Agriculture; Youth in Agriculture Campaign

In recognition of the important role youth must play in the achievement of food security in the Region, the CARICOM Secretariat, in partnership with the United Nations World Food Programme, will launch the ‘I AM Agriculture: Youth in Agriculture’ social media campaign on Friday, 28 October 2022.

Young farmers will make presentations during the hour-long event which CARICOM Secretary-General, Dr. Carla Barnett will launch. The event will also feature remarks by Mr. Regis Chapman, Representative and Country Director of the United Nations World Food Programme; Mr. Joseph Cox, CARICOM Assistant Secretary-General, Directorate of Economic Integration Innovation and Development (EIID); and Amb. David Prendergast, Director, Sectoral Programmes, EIID.
