“CYS 2023 has been a Life-changing Experience!”

Young people participating in the Caribbean Youth Summit (CYS) 2023 have described the Summit as “life-changing”.

The Summit was officially opened on Wednesday, 22 November, at the AC Hotel Marriot, Kingston, Jamaica. Activities for the summit are being held under the theme: ‘Securing Our Future: Youth Co-Creating a Peaceful and Sustainable Caribbean Community.’

Participants were engaged in a panel discussion on the causes of mental health issues related to gender-based violence, youth violence, marginalisation of women and girls, people living with HIV and other marginalised groups.
