Caribbean youth engaged in knowledge sharing on mental health and gender-based violence

During day three (3) of the Caribbean Youth Summit, young people were engaged in discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions on mental health and its impact on the individual and the state.

The Summit was officially opened on Wednesday, 22 November, at the AC Hotel Marriot, Kingston, Jamaica. Activities for the summit are being held under the theme: ‘Securing Our Future: Youth Co-Creating a Peaceful and Sustainable Caribbean Community.’
Participants highlighted the causes of mental health issues related to gender-based violence, youth violence, marginalisation of women and girls, people living with HIV and other marginalised groups.
