PM Keith Rowley Continues Engagements on Cricket
Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago, Dr. the Hon Keith Rowley, met with Trinbago Knight Riders captain Kieron Pollard and Former West Indies leg-spinner, Dinanath Ramnarine during a working lunch at The CrewsInn Hotel, Chaguaramas on 12 September 2023.
The Prime Minister continues to engage a number of cricket stakeholders in his capacity as Chairman of the CARICOM Prime Ministerial Sub-Committee on Cricket (PMSC), his office said.
Heads of Government at their last regular meeting in July, appointed Prime Minister Rowley as Chairman of the PMSC on cricket. The PMSC is mandated to examine all matters related to the development of cricket.
At that meeting in Port-of-Spain, Heads of Government exchanged views with Cricket West Indies President, Dr. Kishore Shallow, on the state of the game in the Region and the preparations for the hosting of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Cricket World Cup 2024 (CWC2024) in the Region.
