US/Caribbean PACC 2030 initiative to address energy security, climate crisis

CARICOM Secretary-General, Dr. Carla Barnett, said energy security in the Caribbean is a critical matter in the Community even as Member States seek to transition their energy systems to more modern, clean and reliable supplies of renewable energy.
US Vice President Kamala Harris on Thursday announced a Partnership to Address the Climate Crisis 2030 (PACC 2030) that will address energy security and climate crisis in the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
Vice President Harris made the announcement during a meeting with regional leaders on the sidelines of the Ninth Summit of the Americas underway in Los Angeles California.
