CARICOM delegation engages Guyana’s Election Stakeholders

CARICOM Chairman, Prime Minister Mia Mottley of Barbados, four of her colleague Prime Ministers and the CARICOM Secretary-General were holding a series of meetings Wednesday with Elections stakeholders in Guyana, including President David Granger and Leader of the Opposition Mr. Bharrat Jagdeo.

The CARICOM Chairman’s delegation includes Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit of Dominica; Prime Minister Dr Keith Mitchell of Grenada; ;Prime Minister Dr Ralph Gonsalves of St Vincent and the Grenadines; Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley of Trinidad and Tobago; and Secretary-General Ambassador Irwin LaRocque.
The delegation was also expected to engage the Leaders of other parties which contested the 2 March 2020 Elections, the Election Observers and the Ethnic Relations Commission.
The Chairman and her delegation will speak to the media about the visit at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
